It has been reported by the likes of Fightful Select and Sports Illustrated that Andrade is no longer a member of the WWE roster after seemingly being released from the promotion, in a move which comes less than two years after his return in 2024. Andrade was competing as part of a tag team with Rey Fenix on the SmackDown roster, last wrestling in the Tables, Ladders & Chairs WWE Tag Team Championship match at SummerSlam 2025.

WWE had further plans for Andrade too, according to Fightful Select. It is noted that at one point, Andrade & Rey Fenix were initially scheduled to wrestle The Wyatt Sicks at Clash In Paris 2025 for the gold, though a member of the WWE creative team at the time told Fightful Select that the match was no longer possible. Instead, The Wyatt Sicks faced The Street Profits.

There has been much talk regarding WWE’s huge announcement on Friday that WrestleMania 43 in 2027 would officially be heading to Saudi Arabia, marking the first ever WrestleMania event to take place outside of North America. This sparked a lot of controversy, boos on live WWE programming, and more.

PWInsider have offered some more details about WrestleMania 43 weekend in Saudi Arabia. Much like WrestleMania in North America, it is revealed that the week leading up to the show will have “all the usual ancillary events” including Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown, the Hall Of Fame, and more all coming out of Riyadh. It wasn’t yet revealed if an NXT event would be held in Riyadh too. WWE will reportedly be paid an astronomical amount of money for the event, with reports suggesting figures of around $100 million

Xavier Woods Reveals Why He Didn't Wrestle At Worlds Collide

Xavier Woods was originally slated to team with New Day partner Kofi Kingston at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide this past Friday to challenge Pagano & Psycho Clown for the AAA World Tag Team Championships, although he was replaced by Grayson Waller. In recent weeks, Woods has been present on WWE programming but has not wrestled in the ring, with him now seemingly revealing why.

On social media, Woods posted some gruesome looking photos of a large bump on the back of his head and the aftermath of surgery to remove it.

“For those of you doubting that I had surgery yesterday morning. Here is a before and after pic. Plus the lymphoma that was carved out of the back of my head. This was the result of @ScrapDaddyAP instructing  @PENTAELZEROM to injure me. Thanks Penta.”

Woods clarified that he meant “lipoma” rather than “lymphoma” in a later post. It isn’t known when Woods will be fit to return to in-ring action.

"No Bridge Burned" Between Andrade & AEW

With Andrade now reportedly a free agent following his apparent WWE exit, talk will no doubt spark over his future in the business. In their report on Andrade’s departure, Fightful Select revealed that sources in AEW were unaware about Andrade’s WWE exit, but claimed that “no bridge is truly burned in AEW”, with a return not being impossible.

Tony Khan had previously touched upon Andrade leaving AEW, saying that they parted ways on good terms. AEW’s MJF also took to X to address Andrade following this news.

“Ay yo @AndradeElIdolo. Ima be in Mexico beating the ever loving shit out of Mistico @CMLL_OFICIAL infront of all your broke ass country men. Lmk if you wanna grab a marg before I hope on my jet to Toronto to whoop mark briscoes hillbilly ass.”

Details behind Andrade’s reported release are still sparse, as are details regarding his next steps.
